There are some weddings that just stand out from the rest, and Skylar and Jared’s was definitely one of them. From the timeless details, the amazing vendor team, and the FUN we had, their day was truly unforgettable.

One thing that made this wedding so special was the couple themselves. Skylar and Jared are so fun and easy-going. They have a vibe that makes you feel like you’re hanging out with your best friends, and everything they did on September 22nd reflected their excitement to be getting married. 

Getting Ready at the Crossroads Hotel in Downtown KC

The day started at the Crossroads Hotel, where the girls were getting ready. The atmosphere was so sweet. Skylar was the picture of a calm, cool, collected bride, and it was apparent that she was soaking in every second. As Jared got ready with the guys, I could tell he was so excited to see Skylar in a few short minutes. After an intimate first look, Skylar and Jared walked the streets of Downtown Kansas City, shared a few moments together before the ceremony, and nailed the most iconic dip kiss. I mean, aren’t they just the most fun?!

The ceremony and reception were held at Corrigan Station, with an incredible view of Kansas City. As the sun set, we captured every moment with the skyline in the background, and the vine wall at the Kauffman Center was the perfect backdrop for some gorgeous shots, as well. Despite the hot weather, everyone was in such high spirits, and the party was a blast. The first dance was so much fun and showed just how much Skylar and Jared are in love. The energy throughout the day was infectious, and even Grandma was killing it on the dance floor!

All in all, Skylar and Jared’s wedding day in Kansas City was a dream come true. From the amazing couple, to the stunning skyline backdrop, and earth shaking reception, everything was just perfect. It was an honor to capture their special day, and I know their love story will continue to be a beautiful one.
